This process includes opening the beads, sliding the extensions up closer to the scalp, and re-securing them with new beads if needed. Move-ups help extend the wear time of the extensions, prevent tangling, and keep them looking fresh without requiring a full reinstall. Typically, move-ups are recommended every 4–6 weeks, depending on hair growth and maintenance.

I-Tip reinstall refers to the process of completely removing and reapplying I-Tip (beaded) hair extensions. This involves carefully opening the beads, sliding out the extensions, and replacing old beads with new ones for a secure hold. The hair is then sectioned, and the extensions are reinstalled using a bead and loop tool to attach them strand by strand. A reinstall is typically needed every 8–12 weeks to maintain the health of the natural hair and ensure the extensions stay secure and seamless
